Duane B. Walmsley, 71, of New Kensington, peacefully passed away with his family at his side on Sunday, April 22, 2018 in Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot. He fought a courageous battle with cancers and lymphomas. Duane was born October 17, 1946 in New Kensington, son of the late Bernard and Mary (Albanese) Walmsley. Duane proudly served his country in the U. S. Navy. He especially loved spending time with his family and friends. Duane was a car enthusiast, who also enjoyed travelling, wood working and making furniture. Leaving behind to cherish his memory is his high school sweetheart and wife of 48-1/2 years, Louise; also his children, Tracy (Bill) Sylves of Gilpin Township and Christopher (Sherrie) Walmsley of New Kensington; grandchildren, Tyler and Halie Walmsley; brother, Randy (Jean) Walmsley of Washington Township; sisters Nancy (Jim) Miller of Allegheny Township and Kim Walmsley Miller of Valencia. Family and friends will be received from 12 noon until time of memorial service at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the FRANK F. GIGLER FUNERAL HOME, 2877 Leechburg Road, Lower Burrell, PA 15068. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Good Samaritan Hospice, 134 Marwood Road, Cabot, PA 16023.
