Frederic C. “Butch” Uzelac, 78, of Lower Burrell, died Sunday, December 24, 2017 in his home, with his family at his side. He was born April 12, 1939, in Logans Ferry Heights, son of the late Fred and Florence (Johnston) Uzelac. Butch was an avid hunter and devoted Steeler fan. He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his grandchildren, visiting casinos with his wife and going to the beach. Butch was a past president of Renton UMWA Local #1993 and proud to be described as a “loyal democrat”.   Butch was the beloved husband of Nancy J. (Menhart) Uzelac; dear father of Frederic C. Uzelac Jr. of Renton; Shari L. (J. Dana) Pettigrew of Rhode Island; Marci L. Kuni of Florida; Joseph O. (Verlene) Uzelac of Lower Burrell; brother of Robert J. (Diane) Uzelac of Sigel; loving grandfather of Nicole, Kayla, Christina, Angela, Kaitlyn, Alexis, and Christian Joseph. Family and friends will be received from 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the FRANK F. GIGLER FUNERAL HOME, 2877 Leechburg Road, Lower Burrell, PA 15068, where services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday. Burial will follow in Puckety Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Lower Burrell.
