Gary Louis Lascek

Gary L. Lascek, 43, of North Reading, MA, formerly of Sarver, passed away on Monday, March 12, 2018 after a brief illness.  He is survived by his wife, Nancy, parents, Raymond and Barbara Lascek, and sisters Mya Jenkins Lascek (Dean) and Vanessa Lascek.  Gary was a beloved son-in-law and brother-in-law and a special uncle to ten nieces and nephews.  His easy personality made him a cherished friend to many.  Born in New Kensington, PA and raised in Sarver, PA, he graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a chemical engineering degree.  Gary worked in the pharmaceutical industry for over 15 years and most recently lived in the Boston, MA area.  Gary loved spending time with family and friends, watching movies, and reading science fiction and fantasy novels.  An avid animal lover, he especially enjoyed spending time with all his pets over the years.  Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in the FRANK F. GIGLER FUNERAL HOME, 2877 Leechburg Road, Lower Burrell, PA 15068, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday with Reverend Dr. James C. Butler of the Lakewood Presbyterian Church officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), PO Box 96929, Washington, DC 20090-6929.
