Kenneth Lee Blandford, 49, of Allegheny Township, died Wednesday, October 3, 2018, one day before his 50th birthday, in Good Samaritan Hospice at Concordia. He was born in New Kensington, son of Lillian Masiarik Blandford and the late Alfred G. Blandford.Ken was a truck driver for Herb Gregg Trucking and Supply and a member of Puckety Presbyterian Church in Lower Burrell. Ken enjoyed hunting and fishing in Tionesta, going to Lernerville and car shows, and was a former member of local bowling, pool and dart leagues. He cherished his family and was devoted to his many long-time friends. His favorite vacation spot was Myrtle Beach. Survivors include his mother, Lillian A. Blandford, two brothers, James (Gayle) Blandford of Tallahassee, Florida and Kevin (Amy) Blandford of Natrona Heights; two sisters, Kim (Terry) Soulcheck of Allegheny Township and Monte Stone of New Kensington; and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by a nephew, Robert M. Blandford. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm Friday and from 9:30 am to 10:30 am Saturday in the FRANK F. GIGLER FUNERAL HOME, Robert P. Karish, Supervisor, 2877 Leechburg Road, Lower Burrell, PA 15068. Funeral services will be held at 11 am Saturday in Puckety Presbyterian Church, with Rev. Doug Marshall officiating, followed by burial in Greenwood Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Puckety Presbyterian Church, 1009 Puckety Church Road, Lower Burrell, PA 15068 or to Animal Protectors of Allegheny Valley, 533 Linden Avenue, New Kensington, PA 15068.
