Orrie E. Hazelett, 90, of Natrona Heights, died Monday, April 23, 2018 in his home. He was born March 31, 1928 in Arnold, son of the late Harry W. and Bertha P. (Wolfe) Hazelett. Orrie was employed as a systems installer for Bell Telephone and ATT. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army, reaching the rank of Corporal at Fort Knox. He served additional years with the National Guard. He was a member of the Methodist faith and 32nd Degree Mason with 50+ years in the F & AM Pollock Lodge #502 in Tarentum. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly A. (Graham) Hazelett, brother, Willard Hazelett and sister, Florence McCreight. Survivors include his children, Michele (David) Demharter of Natrona Heights; Ralph (Cindy) Hazelett of Natrona Heights; Debra (Douglas) Henry of Freeport and Kenneth (Kathleen) Hazelett of Sarver; grandchildren, Jennifer (Dan) Merli; Kimberly (Jared) Marino; Michael Drane; Elizabeth (Yue) Chu; Craig Hazelett; Kaitlyn Hazelett and Kyle Hazelett; great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Colby, Alexander and Parker. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the FRANK F. GIGLER FUNERAL HOME, 2877 Leechburg Road, Lower Burrell, PA 15068, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, with Rev. Dawn Check of Freeport United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park Mausoleum in Lower Burrell. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Highlands Area Meals on Wheels, PO Box 395, Natrona Heights, PA 15065 or to Boy Scouts of America Troop 186, in care of Evan Erickson, 302 Primrose Drive, Sarver, PA 16055. Members of Pollock Lodge #502 will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
