Alberta L. (Kayser) Robinson

Alberta (Kayser) Robinson, 98, of Allegheny Township passed away peacefully on Tuesday October 17, 2023.  She was a daughter of the late Rev. Lewis N. and Martha Kayser.  She was born on January 18, 1925 in Portsmouth, Ohio.  She was a graduate of Steubenville High and the College of Steubenville.  Alberta was a retired teacher of Kiski Area School District and a retired church organist where she played for 75 years at various churches.  She was a member of Grace Community Presbyterian Church of Lower Burrell, the Order of Eastern Star, and the Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees and its local Alle-Kiski Chapter.  She was an avid reader and enjoyed puzzles.  She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 51 years Philip Robinson; three brothers, Elmore, Earl, Elton Kayser, three sisters Alice Brubaker, Arlene Molnar and Audrey Phillips.  She is survived by her daughter Linda (Michael) Bahner, of Chapel Hill, N.C. and son Philip L. (Ellen) Robinson of Pittsford, NY; grandson Steven Bahner, three granddaughters Catherine (Adam) Cheskey, Allison Robinson and Colleen Robinson; brother-in-law Ben Phillips; and several nieces and nephews.  Family and friends will be received on Monday from 6-8 pm at the Frank F. Gigler Funeral Home, Inc. Robert P. Karish Supervisor, 2877 Leechburg Road, Lower Burrell and Tuesday 10 am until the time of the funeral  service at 11 am at the funeral home.  Interment will be private.  In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to a charity of your choice.  www.giglerfuneralhome.com.
