Betty J Bailey

Betty J. Bailey, 88, of Arnold passed away on Sunday March 27, 2022.  She was born in Lower Burrell to the late Ollie T. Bailey and Ruth (Bane) Walters.  Betty was a 1951 graduate of Arnold High.  She was an active member of Bethesda Lutheran Church in Lower Burrell.  Betty volunteered for Meals on Wheels in Lower Burrell.  She enjoyed reading, traveling, golfing, silver sneakers; yoga at the YMCA, her pet cats, and the Pittsburgh Pirates.  She was employed at Alcoa and Dollar Bank.  After retirement she worked at Silverman’s Drug Store and Dr. Gray’s dental office.  She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Marge Buckley & Hazel Basta and her dear friend Sarah “Dolly” Scott. She is survived by her sister Arlene Finnecy, of Penn Hills; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.  Private services with entombment in Greenwood Memorial Park.  Memorial contributions can be made in her name to Animal Protectors of Allegheny Valley, 730 Church Street, New Kensington, PA  15068.  The family would like to thank the staff of Care at Home, in Arnold for taking care of Betty.  Arrangements are entrusted to the Frank F.
