Betty L (Riggle) Couch

Betty L. (Riggle) Couch, 94, of Lower Burrell passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 in her home with her family by her side.  She was born in 1927 in Tarentum, a daughter of the late Roy C. and Anna (Cottingham) Riggle.  She graduated from Tarentum High School in 1945.  Betty was a member of Grace Community Presbyterian Church, in Lower Burrell.  She was a life member of VFW Auxiliary, and spent many years volunteering at Allegheny Valley Hospital and the VA Hospital.  Betty’s hobbies were family, going to her grandchildren’s sporting events, traveling, dancing and listening to her husband’s band.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John A. Couch, siblings, Aline Pinkerton, Dorothy Lloyd, Clarence Riggle, and son-in-law Duane B. Walmsley.  Betty is survived by her 5 daughters; Louise Walmsley of New Kensington, Peggy (Bill) Ewald of Hudson, FL, Debbie (Rich) Acre of Lower Burrell, Kathy (Joe) Resnick of Natrona Heights, and Cindy (Randy) Daughtry of Lower Burrell; grandchildren Kristy Moller, of Savanna GA, Tracy Sylves of New Kensington, Chris (Sherrie) Walmsley of New Kensington, Nicole and Adrienne Resnick, of Natrona Heights, Aaren Acre, of Lower Burrell, Richie (Jade) Acre of Creighton and Brandon Daughtry of Lower Burrell; great grandchildren Savannah, Griffin and Isabel Moller, Tyler and Halie Walmsley, Holden Lane, Ashton Ewing, Kennedy Acre, Sydnie Acre and Hudson Arms.  Betty is also survived by many nieces and nephews.  Family and friends are invited to a Memorial Service on Monday April 4, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Grace Community Presbyterian Church, 2751 Grant Street, Lower Burrell with Pastor Doug Marshall officiating.  The family requests memorial contribution to be made to a local animal shelter of your choice.  Arrangements are entrusted to the Frank F.
