Doris “Dorie” (Maxwell) Prinkey passed away on her birthday, October 24, 2023 at the age of 96. She was predeceased by her husband, Dale B. Prinkey who passed away in 2010, her parents Thomas and Edith Vogel Maxwell, as well as her siblings Kenneth Maxwell, Vivian Armstrong, and Lola Maxwell.
Dorie was an active member of Puckety Presbyterian Church and served as a Deacon and choir member. There were always cookies in the freezer, and she was known for her pies. She enjoyed reading, collecting, and was a member of numerous card clubs. Dorie was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and enjoyed nothing more than being with her family. She leaves behind her children Jill (David) Kvalheim, Nita (James) Serene, and Brian (Erin) Prinkey. Surviving her are her grandchildren Matthew (Emily) Kvalheim, Emily Kvalheim, Carolyn (Macklin) Stanley, Braden (Katie) Serene, Bradley Prinkey, and Breanne (Robby) Moss, as well as five great grandchildren and many other cherished family members.
