Elsie (Grayson) Martin, 98, of Lower Burrell, passed away peacefully at Concordia Lutheran Ministries Good Samaritan Hospice, on Monday January 21, 2019. Elsie was born Elsie Grayson, June 30, 1920, the daughter of the late Michael and Anna Grayson and the youngest of nine siblings. She was raised in Arnold, PA. Elsie was a life-long member of the Arnold United Methodist Church and a graduate of Arnold High School and New Kensington Commercial School. She and her husband, Patsy raised their daughters, Pam and Cindy, in Lower Burrell, surrounded by the Martin and Grayson families. Elsie always enjoyed gardening, playing Bridge with her friends, baking delicious pies, and spending lots of time with her grandchildren. She will be remembered for her unfailing kindness and warm heart. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Patsy Martin; her brothers, Anthony, John, Steve, and Michael Grayson; and her sisters, Mary Popowitz, Ellen Heavner, Olive Grayson, and Dorothy Jackson. She is survived by her loving daughters, Pamelyn Sinewe and her husband, Richard Sinewe, of New Kensington, and Cynthia Woolheater and her husband, Craig Woolheater, of Allegheny Township; her grandchildren, Ashley and Blair Woolheater; her sister-in-law, Lois Martin; and her many nieces and nephews. She was deeply grateful for her wonderful friends and caregivers, especially Jennifer, as well as, her friends at Meals on Wheels, and the caring nurses and staff at Good Samaritan Hospice.
