Evelyn (Conrad) Cousins

Evelyn Lucille (Conrad) Cousins, 91, of Lower Burrell, went to be with her Lord on Monday, January 23, 2023, surrounded by oved ones at Platinum Ridge Center, Natrona Heights, PA.

Evelyn was born in 1931, in New Kensington, daughter of the late Charles and Jewel (Bennett) Conrad. Evelyn worked as a clerk for the New Kensington Credit Bureau. Prior to this, she managed the Baskin- Robbins in Lower Burrell, where she loved to design cakes and taught cake-decorating classes at Valley High School. She also was an avid seamstress and made many beautiful quilts over the years. She will be remembered by her family for her beloved teddy-bear “Spike”, various art and craft projects, amazing fried chicken, and her pies.

Evelyn is survived by her sons, William “Rob” (Christine) Cousins of Lower Burrell, Clayton “Woodie” (Kim) Cousins of Madisonville, TN, James (Pat) Cousins of Summerville, and her daughter, Barbara Jo Carnahan of New Kensington. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by her brother, POW Ralph “Bo” Conrad, her sister, Sarah “Sally” Murin, and infant granddaughter, Stephani Lyn Cousins.
