Frank "Lil Doc" Harmon, Jr.

Frank “Lil Doc” “Sonny” Harmon, Jr., age 78, of Upper Burrell, passed away on Thursday November 18, 2021.  He was the son of the late Frank “Doc” and Rosalie Harmon. Frank proudly served his country in the Army.   He is survived by his beloved wife of fifteen years, Bonnie (McGinnis) Harmon; children, Shannon (Timothy) Moret, of Lower Burrell; Timothy (Melanie Phillips) Harmon, of Upper Burrell; Todd (Melissa) Harmon, of West Deer Twp; dear grandfather of Kyle and Alison Moret; brother of Margaret (Eugene) Godleski, of Plum, Marlene Harmon, of Plum; brother-in-law of Robert Willison, of Lower Burrell.  Frank was preceded in death by his daughter, Sherri Harmon; grandson Benjamin Moret; sister Dona Willison.  Frank worked at the Alcoa Technical Center in Upper Burrell for 44 years.  He was a life member of Upper Burrell Volunteer Fire Company and was a member of Heath Township Sportsman Club.  He enjoyed racing stock cars, and was a member of Pittsburgh Circle Track Club.   He enjoyed spending time hunting and fishing at Camp Harmony with his family and friends.  Frank was a person that never accepted that something is not doable or impossible.  He was a proud person that loved his family dearly.  Family and friends will be received on Monday November 22 from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1:30 p.m. at the Frank F. Gigler Funeral Home, Inc., Robert P. Karish, Supervisor, 2877 Leechburg Road, Lower Burrell.  Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park.  Condolences are welcome at www.giglerfuneralhome.com.
