Frank R. (Jr.) Kowalski

Frank R. Kowalski, Jr., 84 of New Kensington passed away at UPMC St. Margaret Hospital Friday, August 11, 2023.  He was the son of the late Anna and Frank R. Kowalski, Sr.  He was a 1956 graduate of The Kiski School.  He also attended St. Vincent College and Ohio Wesleyan University.  Frank was the Owner and President of Kowalski Coal & Salvage Co.  Frank was an avid golfer, playing at Hillcrest Country Club where he also caddied as a young man.  He also served on the board of directors at Hillcrest CC.  He loved to travel and always had great stories of his escapades.  Frank is survived by his daughter Michele (Michael) Hills of Pittsburgh; his son, Michael (Michelle) Kowalski of New Kensington; partner Kathy Kaminski; and a sister, Kathleen Costa.  He’ll be dearly missed by his family and his friends. 

At Frank’s request, a private family service was held Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at Greenwood Memorial Park. Arrangements were entrusted to the FRANK F. GIGLER FUNERAL HOME INC., Robert P.
