Frank D. Spiering

Frank D. Spiering, 89, of Lower Burrell passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Monday May 22, 2023.  He was born in Lower Burrell, a son of George G. and Martha (Rice) Spiering.  Hard work was instilled in Frank and his siblings throughout the years they were raised on the family farm.  Frank was preceded in death by his parents, son Christopher Spiering and several brothers and sisters.  Frank was known for selling “Frank’s Sweet Corn” in Lower Burrell.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, his animals and especially farming.  He is survived by his children Cynthia (Perry) McElwan of Allegheny Twp., Timothy (Colleen) Spiering of Lower Burrell, Paul (Georgette) Spiering of Allegheny Twp., Lori (Richard) Farrier of Wilkinsburg, Amie Fike of Gainesville, FL; 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; brother Joseph Spiering of Allegheny Twp.  Family and friends are welcome to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday June 17, 2023 at 10 a.m. at St. Margaret Mary Church, 3055 Leechburg Road, Lower Burrell, PA.
