Frederick D. Round

Frederick D. Round, 76, of Butler passed away on Wednesday February 8, 2023, in Pittsburgh.  He was a son of the late Derrick and Violet (Neeper) Round.  Fred was a 1964 graduate of Washington Township High School.  He then went on to Penn State University graduating with a bachelor's degree.  He worked at Westinghouse Electric in Pitcarin and ABB Electric where he worked on and repaired high voltage circuit breakers used by the power plant industry.  He also traveled to other cities in the US as a consultant.  Fred enjoyed fishing, hunting, motorcycle riding, campfires with his family and taking care of his 40 acres of beautiful land.  He is survived by his siblings, Nancy (Round) Beatty, Shirley (Round) Lewis, David E. Round and Sherre (Round) Stepney.  Fred was the brother everyone would wish to have.  If you needed help with something or advice on how to fix something, he was always there to help.  With his electrical and mechanical knowledge, he enjoyed taking things apart to see how they worked and then figuring out ways to redesign them and make them more efficient.  He will be sorely missed by his brother and his three sisters.  In their hearts, they will have beautiful memories of a caring and loving brother.  Family and friends will be received from 12-3 pm on Sunday February 12, 2023, at the Frank F. Gigler Funeral Home, Inc., Robert P.
