Geraldine L. (Edwards) Mohney

Geraldine (Gerry) L. Mohney, 95, of Lower Burrell, went home to be with her Lord and Savior and all those she loved who went before her on Monday October 3, 2022.  She was born in New Kensington, to the late Charles and Mary (Fritz) Edwards and has lived in her Lower Burrell home since 1954.  She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Alvin Mohney and sisters; Mary Heighley, Betty Fassett, Thelma Broeneman and Shirley Ross.  Gerry was an active member of Grace Community Church, where she sang in the choir, also singing with The Memories Choir, for numerous years.  In her high school years, she sang on the radio and performed with her sister Thelma as “The Edwards Sisters.”  She loved playing the nickel machines at the Casino and never missed a good garage sale.  She was extremely active driving until the day she passed and attending all of her six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren’s events.  She took great pride in decorating her home inside and out.  She worked for Mac’s Village Shop where she made many friends. She is survived by her three daughters; Linda (Frank) Arabia, of Allegheny Township, Judy (Charles) Gannon, of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, and Kathy (Kurt) Durick, of Plum.  She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren: Christian, Nathan, and Patrick Arabia, Sarah Shear, Kelley Watts, and Greg Durick; Ten adored great-grandchildren; her brother, Charles “Bud” Edwards and sister Edith Thompson.  Services will be Private.  Arrangements are entrusted to the Frank F.
