Louis B. Massaglia, 72, of McCandless, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 29, 2020 at UPMC Passavant. He was a son to the late Louis and Martha (Karmazin) Massaglia. He is survived by his loving wife, Arlene J. (Grando) Massaglia of 40 years. Lou and Arlene met while working together at Busy Beaver Building centers in New Kensington, when he swept her off of her feet. Lou spent most of his professional career as Senior Vice President at Fagen’s Building Centers. Lou was a loving and supportive stepfather for Annette J. (Ronald) Marney, of New Kensington, Carmen R. Bellavia, of Boca Raton, FL and Susan E. (James) Staresinic, of Cranberry Township. Grandfather to Danielle J. (Shawn) Rua, of Plum, Tyler A. Gold, of Pittsburgh, Lieutenant JG Evan J. (Christina) Staresinic, of Jacksonville, FL and J. Maxwell Staresinic, of Cranberry Twp; great grandfather of Aiden R. Rua and Julia M. Rua; brother of Thomas (Melissa) Massaglia, of St. Augustine, FL., Martha (Terry) Little, of Thomasville, Ga. and Meri (Scott) Loughner of Rillton, PA. Lou’s favorite time of year was Fall and football season. He was an official for Western PA high school and college football games. He loved to go for beers after games with his officiating buddies. Lou’s love of football started at Sewickley High School and continued on to Waynesburg College on a football scholarship where his team won the Collegiate Championship. Lou was loved and respected by so many people. He was a man of few words, but his actions spoke volumes. Service and burial are Private. Arrangements entrusted to the Frank F.
