Louise R. (Covey) Clawson

Louise Roseann (Covey) Clawson, 84, of New Kensington passed away on Friday May 20, 2022.  She was born in New Kensington to the late Herbert and Louise (Carrier) Covey.  Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard E. Clawson, her son Matthew Scott Hanyo, sister Patricia Markle, brothers Herbert Covey and Harvey Covey.  Louise retired from K-Mart Corporation as a Human Resource Manager after 21 years of service.  She worked part time for Upper Burrell Fireman’s Club from 2007 until 2015.  She volunteered at AKMC and was a member of AKMC Auxiliary.  Louise loved Thomas Tours bus trips, bird watching and her precious cat “Princess.”  She is survived by her children, John (Julie) Hanyo of Leechburg, Frederick Hanyo, Jr of Leechburg, Anna (Jeff) Rogers of Upper Burrell and James (Michelle Card) Hanyo, Sr. of Cocoa Beach, FL.; her step children Ricky (Toni) Clawson of Sterling, VA. And Barry Clawson of Harpers Ferry, WVA.; grandchildren, Lee (Megan) Hanyo, Alexandria Lance, James Hanyo, Jr., Quinn Hanyo, Olivia Rogers, Jesse Hanyo; step grandchildren, Travis Clawson, Lauren (T.J.) Williams, Brian (Christy) Helsel and Nicole Quinn; sister June Markle of New Kensington; brothers Albert (Ruth) Covey of Natrona Heights and Howard Covey, Sr. of Markle; her special niece Ellie (Zach) Beam and their children Parker, Emme and Adeline.  Family and friends will be received at the Frank F. Gigler Funeral Home, Robert P. Karish, Supervisor, 2877 Leechburg Road, Lower Burrell on TUESDAY from 2-4 and 6 until time of Funeral Service at 8 pm.  Burial will be private in Greenwood Memorial Park for the family.
