Maureen M. (Peterson) George

Maureen “Mo” (Peterson) George, 81, of Leechburg peacefully passed away on Thursday March 14, 2024.  She was born in Jhansi, India the daughter of the late Vincent and Mary Agnes (Parker) Peterson.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Iona Payne and Pearline Berry.  Maureen loved to walk and spending time with her family, especially her adored grandsons, Tanner and Ethan.  She is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years Joseph L George, daughter Lisa (Joseph) Newhouse of Indiana, Pa.; son Rich (Lisa) George of Allegheny Twp; grandsons Tanner and Ethan George; Brother Peter Peterson of Cornwall, England.  Interment will be held at a later date in Yorkshire, England.  Arrangements entrusted to the Frank F Gigler Funeral Home, Inc., Robert P Karish Supervisor, 2877 Leechburg Road, Lower Burrell (724) 335-6500.  www.giglerfuneralhome.com.
