Miriam “Mim” Arteritano, 97, formerly of Lower Burrell went home to be with the Lord on Thursday June 1, 2023. She was the only daughter of the late John and Anne Behanna. She was preceded by her husband Joseph G. Arteritano. She attended California University and earned her B.S. in Early Childhood Education. She was a member of St. Margaret Mary’s Church in Lower Burrell, where she was involved being the Co-chair for the church renovation, was a member of the Ladies Guild, and Christian Family Movement (CFM). She also was a member of Burrellton Women’s Club. She served several years on the Republican Committee. Miriam taught 2nd grade in her hometown of Charleroi, PA. She enjoyed playing cards and traveling with her husband, especially their trip to Israel. Miriam was known to her family and friends as “Mim”. She is survived by her sons, Joseph T. (Lupita) Arteritano of San Antonio, Texas, Michael D. Arteritano of Plum, Thomas S. (Amy) Arteritano of New Kensington, and Daniel K. (Kathryn) Arteritano of California; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Family and friends will be received on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the Frank F. Gigler Funeral Home, Inc., Robert P. Karish Supervisor, 2877 Leechburg Road, Lower Burrell. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 am on Wednesday in St. Margaret Mary Church, 3055 Leechburg Road, Lower Burrell.
