Raymond A. Kramer, 93, of Allegheny Township passed away on Monday November 6, 2023 in Concordia of Cabot. He went to Heaven not experiencing much pain, which is what we all hope for someday. He was born in Buffalo, New York to the late Albert and Catherine (Kuhlman) Kramer. He was a member of Bethesda Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lower Burrell. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 62 years Shirley A. Kramer; his siblings, Al Kramer, Howard Kramer and Ruth Kramer. Ray received his undergraduate degree from Canisius College in New York. He went on to graduate with a PhD in Analytical Chemistry from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He worked his whole career at Alcoa. He was a very intelligent man and has affected so many people positively. I learned so much about life from my dad and I will miss receiving his guidance. Family was always very important to my Dad. We have been doing weekly dinners, trips to the grocery store, traveling south to play some golf to mention a few activities he truly enjoyed. He valued his friends from Bethesda Church, his fellow bridge players, his fellow Alcoa retirees and fishing with his beloved wife Shirley and his family in upstate New York. Ray last played golf at the age of 91. Not many people can say they were blessed to play golf at that age. He is survived by his loving son Mark (Maria) Kramer, of Sarver, dear grandfather of Sarah (Will) Padden, of Lower Burrell, David (Becca) Kramer, of Wexford and Emily Kramer-Hicks (Jess), of Kittanning; brother of Lynette Kramer Dick, of Buffalo NY and several loved nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 pm on Thursday in the Frank F. Gigler Funeral Home, Inc., Robert P. Karish, Supervisor, 2877 Leechburg Rd., Lower Burrell. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday in Bethesda Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lower Burrell, with Pastor James Arter, III officiating, EVERYONE please meet at the church. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park in Lower Burrell. In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation to the Community Library of Allegheny Valley, 1522 Broadview Blvd. Natrona Heights, PA 15065 or to Bethesda Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3084 Leechburg Road, Lower Burrell, PA 15058. www.giglerfuneralhome.com. Dad, I know you are sitting on my shoulder and will continue to guide me when I have questions. I will miss you dearly, as will many others. You will affect my very being as I always say to myself, "What would dad do" Rest in Peace Dad. Love you Mark
