Richard Emmert Obituary

Richard L. Emmert, age 89 of Upper Burrell, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, December 30, 2021. Richard was born in New Kensington, a son of the late Fidelis and Alice Emmert. He was also preceded in death by his two daughters Evelyn Lucas (2012) and Alyce Emmert (2019), and his brother Dan Emmert (1999). Richard was a Specialist Engineer for PPG Research for over 30 years. He is survived by his beloved wife of 69 years Carolyn (Powell) Emmert; his children Dale (Tracy) Emmert, of Apollo and Tom (Jo) Emmert of Maine; his grandchildren Rick (Jessica) Emmert, Tim Emmert, Eric (Jesse) Emmert and Megan (Ryan) Milligan; and many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and his brother Glenn Emmert. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park. Arrangements are entrusted to the Frank F. Gigler Funeral Home, Inc., Lower Burrell (724) 335-6500.
