Richard Lee Scott

Richard “Dick” Lee Scott, 83, of Lower Burrell passed away on Tuesday March 5, 2024.  He was born in McDonald Pa to the late Earl and Wilma (Crowe) Scott.  Besides Dick’s parents he was preceded in death by his brother Reed Scott and sister Lois Scudder.  Dick worked 39 years for PPG as an Industrial Engineer.  He was an active member of Grace Community Presbyterian Church, serving as an Elder, Deacon and was on various church committees.  He truly enjoyed studying the Bible.  Dick “loved” eating any and all foods.  Most of all, his enjoyment came from spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.  He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Barbara (Fettis) Scott; daughters Kathy (James) Sober of Jamestown, PA., Lisa (Andrew) Edwards of Lower Burrell; son Kevin R. (Megan) Scott of Frederick, MD; grandchildren Drew Edwards, Bryan (Julie) Sober; Steve Edwards, Austin Sober, Ben Edwards, Mason Scott, Will Scott and Noah Scott; great grandson Lucas Sober.  Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, March 12th from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Frank F. Gigler Funeral Home, Inc., Robert P. Karish Supervisor, 2877 Leechburg Road, Lower Burrell.  Services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Grace Community Presbyterian Church, 2751 Grant Street, Lower Burrell (Everyone please meet at the church).  Entombment will be held in Greenwood Memorial Park.   www.giglerfuneralhome.com.
