Rose (Hooks) Blake

Rose V. Blake, 71 of Vandergrift, passed away on Saturday June 11, 2022.  She was born in New Kensington to the late Raymond and Virginia (Clark) Hooks.  She was preceded in death by her sister Paula Hooks.  Rose loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.  She is survived by her husband Gary L. Blake of Vandergrift, sons Robert (Maribeth) Blake, Gary V. (Angela) Blake and Jason (Amber) Blake, all of Apollo; twin daughters Alicea (Alex) Messmer and Amanda (John Wharton) Blake, both from Vandergrift; grandmother to Abigail Blake, Alexis Blake, Nikki Fox, Kiersten Blake, Madison Blake, Andrew Blake, Jamison Blake and Stephanie Fox; great grandmother to Sean Schreckengost;  sister to Raymond (Sherry) Hooks, Laura (Ed) Hybrecht, Debbie (Gerald) Galo, Joseph Hooks and Sue McHenry;  sister-in law to Vernon (Judy) Blake and Karen (Raymond) Kleckner.  Family and friends will be received on Tuesday June 14th  2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Frank F. Gigler Funeral Home, Inc., 2877 Leechburg Road, Lower Burrell where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11:30 am.  Interment will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park.  www.giglerfuneralhome.com.
