Shirley Jean (Walker) Carson

Shirley J. Carson, 86, of Kittanning passed away on Monday February 5, 2023.  She was a daughter to the late Eugene and Bertha Walker.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Derwood Carson, Sr., her son Derwood Carson, Jr., siblings Margaret, Robert, Dale and Robert. Shirley enjoyed road trips heading anywhere North, camping, and especially enjoying her time with her grandchildren.  Her favorite TV shows that you could always find her watching were Law & Order, The Price is Right, Let’s Make a Deal, and PTL.  Shirley is survived by her daughters Yvonne Kersten of Saxonburg and Michele Carson of Natrona Heights; her grandchildren Savannah Carson and Meaghan (Mark) Fichter; great grandchildren of Rowan, Willow and Elowynn Fichter; her sister Dorothy Griffith and brother Wayne Walker.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the Frank F. You amazed me

How you would get up & go;

When you became ill;

Life became slow.

Things you could do;

Took a while;

Whatever was happening;

MAMA SMILED.

Prayed you would get stronger;

Do what you wanted to do;

Asked for an inch;

Now felt like a mile;

MAMA SMILED.

Seeing in your eyes;

You were DONE;

Were you longing to be;

With your son (Woody).

In LIFE;

There were trials;

Now IN HEAVEN;

MAMA SMILED.
