William S. Love

William Samuel Love, 93, of Lower Burrell passed away on Thursday, February 2, 2023.  He was born in Slippery Rock to the late Ellis W. and Margaret (Kiester) Love.  Sam was preceded in death by his brother James Love, sisters Marjorie Kingman and Jean Tinker, and his son-in-law David Lamanna.  He graduated from Grove City College with a BS Degree in Chemical Engineering.  He had a long career at Alcoa, living and working in many locations including Australia.  He traveled to many countries with his family.  He and his wife achieved their bucket list dream traveling to all 50 states with the last being Alaska.  He was a longtime member of Grace Community Presbyterian Church, serving as an Elder and on the Property Committee.  Sam was an avid golfer, bowler, and reader.  Most of all Sam just treasured his time with his wife and family.  He was "Just A True Gentleman".  He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years Mary Ann (McLaughlin) Love of Lower Burrell and his children Suzanne (Chuck) Painter of Franklin, TN, Daniel Love of Cheney WA, Maureen Lamanna of Sarver and Sharon (Brian) Yangula of Milesburg, PA.; sister Marybeth Eakin of Amelia Island, FL. and his grandchildren Nicholas (Kara) Painter, Andrea Painter, Ashley (Zach) Josebeck, Shannon Lamanna, Samuel Yangula, and Kyle Yangula.  Family and friends will be received Thursday February 9th NOON until time of service at 1 pm at the Frank F. Gigler Funeral Home, Inc., Robert P. Karish Supervisor, 2877 Leechburg Road, Lower Burrell PA 15068.  Interment to follow in Greenwood Memorial park.  Memorial contributions may be made in his name to Grace Community Presbyterian Church, 2751 Grant Street, Lower Burrell PA 15068.
