Morath, William “Bill”, age 92, formerly of Lower Burrell passed away peacefully on Saturday January 5, 2019. Bill was preceded in death by his parents Lloyd and Irene (Fisher) Morath and his first wife Mary Anne (Betty Lou) Morath and his second wife Virginia (Ginny) Morath; siblings Emily (Ridgway) Sharpless, Sylvia (Herbert) Weidman, Hazel (William) Brown; and Carl and Paul Morath. Bill is survived by his step-son Richard (Terry) Keibler of Sarasota, FL. and step-daughter Robyn (Charlie) Simon of Altoona, PA. He was a step grandfather to Dawn (Tom) Daly and Justin Moore of Tampa, FL. Also, many nieces and nephews. Bill was the owner of B&B Appliances in Lower Burrell. He retired from Fisher Appliance in Freeport, PA. He always enjoyed family gatherings and time spent with friends. In his younger days, when his nieces and nephews were young, he liked playing Santa at their Christmas gatherings. He enjoyed gardening, golfing, square dancing, traveling taking care of the beautiful property he shared with Ginny. You could always find him feeding & watching the wildlife. He liked helping out at his church, Bethesda Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lower Burrell, PA. He was a proud U.S. Army veteran serving in WWII. Family and friends will be received on FRIDAY ONLY 2-4 and 6-8pm at the Frank F. Gigler Funeral Home, Inc., Robert P. Karish, Supervisor, 2877 Leechburg Road, Lower Burrell, PA. 15068 where a Funeral Service will be held on Saturday January 12, 2019 at 12:30 p.m. Interment will be in Greenwood Memorial Park. www.giglerfuneralhome.com
