William W. “Bill” Schorr, Jr., 63, of Lewisville Texas, formerly of Lower Burrell passed away on Wednesday November 17, 2021, just 2 days shy of his birthday. Bill was a 1975 graduate of Burrell High School, where he was the captain of the Swim Team and the Cannonier Mascot. He went on to graduate in 1979 from Penn State University with a degree in Business Logistics. In the 1980’s he moved to Texas where he worked at McLean Trucking as their Senior Transportation Coordinator. His interest included collecting coins, scuba diving and vacationing in the Islands. Bill enjoyed staying in touch with family and friends through “Facebook”. He is the beloved son of Mildred (Bowser) Schorr, of Lower Burrell and the late William W. Schorr, Sr., dear brother of Leeanna (Richard) Ryba, of Lower Burrell and Dale (Gina) Schorr, of Pittsburgh; also, nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received on Sunday November 28th from 1-4 p.m. at the Frank F. Gigler Funeral Home, Inc., Robert P. Karish, Supervisor, 2877 Leechburg Road, Lower Burrell. Funeral Service will be held on Monday November 29th at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Community Presbyterian Church, 2751 Grant Street, Lower Burrell, with Pastor Doug Marshall officiating (everyone please meet at the church). Masks will be required for visitation and church. Memorial donations made be made to Pine Springs Camp, 371 Pine Springs Camp Road, Jennerstown, PA 15447.
