Georgina E. Lebetz, 85, of Apollo, and who was affectionately known as “Peanut” or “Grammy” to her family, died Monday, December 18, 2017, in West Penn Hospice. She was born January 1, 1932 in Springdale, a daughter of the late Michael and Margaret (Rae) Schuffert. She loved the Pittsburgh Pirates and enjoyed attending the games. She never missed an opportunity to watch her granddaughters perform in the high school musicals and if her age and health permitted, she would still enjoy being the breakfast cook at the Allegheny Township Dairy Queen. When at home, she enjoyed the company of her cats. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Lebetz, Sr., son Randy, two sisters, 4 brothers and a great grandchild. Peanut was the dear mother of George (Jill) Lebetz, Jr. of West Leechburg; Michael (Kathy) Lebetz of New Jersey; Karen (Shawn) Reilly of Apollo; sister of Art (Judy) Schuffert of Springdale; loving grandmother of Caitlin (Matthew) Mitchell; Courtney, Randi, Michael, Kassy, and Sarah Lebetz; Jessica and Bryce Blanciak; and two great grandchildren, Lucy and Peter Mitchell. Family and friends will be received from 2 until time of service at 4:30 p.m. Thursday in the FRANK F. GIGLER FUNERAL HOME, 2877 Leechburg Road, Lower Burrell, PA 15068. Rev. Ken Foust of Grace Community Presbyterian Church in Lower Burrell will officiate. Private burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park.
